Dry fog sterilization is a treatment method that uses an ultra-fine antimicrobial mist to reach places you physically can't scrub – inside wall cavities, porous wood grain, insulation fibers, and tight crawl space corners where mold spores hide. It's not a replacement for physical removal of heavy growth, but it's one of the most effective ways to knock down airborne spores and treat surfaces that are hard to access directly.
We use this most often in Paw Paw, MI crawl spaces and attics after physical mold removal is done, as a final step to neutralize spores that scrubbing alone won't reach. It's also useful after any job where dust or debris got disturbed, since that process can kick spores into the air even in areas that were already treated.
The equipment breaks the antimicrobial solution down into a dry, ultra-fine mist – fine enough to stay airborne and penetrate porous materials without leaving surfaces wet or damaged. We run it through the treated space in a sealed, contained environment so the mist reaches every surface, corner, and gap, then let it work before ventilating the area.
This treatment works best as part of a full remediation – inspection, moisture source repair, physical removal where needed, then fogging as the final pass. On its own, it won't fix a job where there's still heavy visible growth or an active moisture source feeding it.
Cost depends on the size of the space being treated. If you've had mold removal done and want the extra layer of protection, or need spores knocked down after a job that stirred up dust, call (213) 871-1085 to see if fogging makes sense for your Paw Paw, MI property.
